About the job
The position of information security specialist is located at the Security and Preparedness Office. The office is responsible for the management and coordination of the authority's security and preparedness work. Within the office, the areas of civil defense and preparedness, employee protection, operational protection, and security protection as well as crime prevention coordination are handled.
The Swedish Transport Agency conducts essential societal operations and needs to maintain a high level of information security based on its mission and role in total defense. Given the current global situation, we need to strengthen and further develop security, our management system for information security, and our security culture. You will work on developing governance, support, and coordination within the information security area for the entire authority. This includes adjustments regarding the cybersecurity law, AI applications, and AI development in general.
The work is carried out in collaboration within the office and with other departments within the authority. The majority of the work is conducted at the authority's premises in Örebro. There may also be travel within the country, primarily to the office in Norrköping.

You will
- develop and coordinate the authority's systematic and risk-based information and cybersecurity work
- further develop the authority's management system for information security (LIS)
- work on the creation and revision of governing and supporting documents
- check and follow up on compliance with requirements within the authority and, if necessary, conduct audits based on requirements in LIS
- work with risk, continuity, and incident management
- collaborate and support local information security coordinators and other functions within the authority.
You must have
- at least two years of higher education or university education in a relevant field for the position or other education/knowledge/experience in combination with professional experience that the authority assesses as equivalent
- several years of work experience in the field of information security, where you have independently worked with investigations, analyses, risk management, and systematic security work
- good knowledge of security protection, information security in and around information systems, and handling of security-classified information and documents
- experience in business development and/or process development, where you have independently driven development work
- very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- driving license B.
It is meritorious if you also have
- knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- knowledge of NATO and NATO-related information security issues
- knowledge of security protection analysis or special security protection assessments
- experience of work from another authority.

More information
The employment is permanent with placement at the office in Örebro. Appointment according to agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. As an employee with us, there is an opportunity to work remotely up to three days a week. It is the needs of the business and the nature of the tasks that determine whether and to what extent this is possible. An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security check with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
